Frequently Asked Questions

Why wouldn't I just hire a full-time DevOps?

Hiring a DevOps contractor involves a time-consuming hiring process, from sourcing candidates to negotiating contracts, which can be burdensome for businesses needing immediate support. With UtopiOps, there’s no need for such a process. Clients can access DevOps expertise instantly without the hassle of recruitment. Moreover, UtopiOps offers the flexibility to engage and disengage services as needed, providing the freedom to adjust resources according to project demands or budget constraints. Additionally, clients have the option to combine DevOps services with project-based work, ensuring full flexibility and customization to meet specific business requirements. This seamless integration of services offers unparalleled convenience and adaptability for businesses of all sizes.

Why wouldn't I just hire a DevOps contractor?

You certainly could, but it’s an expensive option and harder to manage. A senior-level DevOps engineer will easily cost you $160k+, require benefits, computer equipment, annual leave, and more. It all adds up! With UtopiOps, you save the hassle of interviews and contract negotiations.

Should I opt for a subscription or a project-based plan?

When deciding between a subscription or project plan with UtopiOps, consider your current and future needs. If you have a defined chunk of work lined up or are just beginning to implement DevOps practices, a project-based plan might be the best fit. This option offers a faster, more cost-effective solution and allows for closer collaboration with your team during the implementation process. Once the initial project is complete or as your DevOps needs evolve, transitioning to a subscription plan provides flexibility. With a subscription, you can start and stop services as needed, allowing for unlimited adjustments to match your ongoing requirements. This approach ensures that you have the support you need precisely when you need it, without being tied to a fixed plan.

How does the pause feature work?
The pause feature allows clients to temporarily suspend their subscription during periods when their DevOps workload is light or non-existent. For instance, if a client has only one or two requests at present, they can opt to pause their subscription until more work arises. Billing cycles operate over a 30-day period. Suppose a client registers and utilizes the service for 20 days, then decides to pause the subscription. In this scenario, the billing cycle is temporarily halted, and the client retains 10 days of service for future use, without any limitations on the number of pauses they can make.
Is there a limit to how many requests I can have?

No, not at all. You can add as many requests as you’d like to your backlog. We’ll keep working on them one at a time. To get the most out of Again, it’s best if you always have requests in your backlog to keep us busy.

Are bug fixes really free?

Yes, bug fixes are indeed free with UtopiOps. We stand by our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction by providing complimentary bug fixes for any code we deliver. This means that if there are any issues or bugs in the code provided by us, we will address and resolve them at no additional cost to the client. Our goal is to ensure that our clients receive reliable and error-free solutions, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Our cancellation and refund policy stipulates that clients are eligible for a full refund only if they cancel their subscription before submitting their first request. Once a request has been submitted, the subscription is considered active, and refunds are no longer available. We encourage clients to carefully consider their needs before initiating any requests to ensure satisfaction with our services.
